Change Comes From Within…

From within ourselves to within a system…the beauty of this speech is that Erica is not hostile, she is not going into the ‘wrongness’ of everything, she is asking for change and that the change required needs to come from within. That each and every person has something to offer. That each person is no less or no more than the other. What do you have to offer to the world? What are your capacities? What do you know that no one else knows that will contribute to and create change on this planet?

The following speech was given by top of the class student Erica Goldson during the graduation ceremony at Coxsackie-Athens High School on June 25, 2010
